Views from Triana

The suburb of Triana, old sprawl of the city of Seville is located next to the Guadalquivir river, on the other shore of the historical centre. Legend holds that, the goddess Astarte fleeing from the romance persecution of Hercules, mythological founder of the city, came to take refuge on the western shore of the Guadalquivir river founding Triana.

Traditionally, its past is tie to a roman colony founded by Trajan, the emperor born on Italica, Trajana-Triana. According to some authors, the name, came from a compromise agreement between Celtiberians and Romans, tri, three from roman and Ana, river, of Celtiberian origin, since the river in that area was divided in tree.

My experience in photography goes back a long time, before I studied architecture at Sydney University, which were I did a formal technical training in the field. I did theory and practice, I was able to do developing of photography the old fashion way and I gained and deep understanding of the practice and theoretical aspect of it.

First of all I do enjoy photography for the sake of it although I take the subject very seriously but one must take pleasure in what he or she does, secondly I believe every situation deserve an specific approach to it, I do not stop learning, I love to do know new things and I like to experiment in photography whenever it is possible, having said that the years of experience have giving me a working method, which I may alter if suitable.

I have studied photography at Sydney University, and I have worked and collaborated with Seville local media groups specialling in the local festivities such as the hollyweek, amongst them were, “Pasion in Sevilla”, and “Semana Santa de Sevilla TV” I also run my own site for this photos called “A Paso Mudá”.
